Thank-You

“I always try hard to tackle the difficult conversations, work persistently on important issues, check my own biases and make every effort to ensure our systems are working well and we are being honest clear about our shared reality. I’m incredibly honoured by these endorsements.” - Keith Page

“one of my favourite people in local government”

“Keith is one of my favourite people in local government. His distinctive humour and relaxed approach make working with him a joy. An effective communicator, (unafraid even of Facebook trolls) he has shown leadership and collaborative spirit throughout all interactions I’ve had with him. He would be a stellar MP.”

Cyra Yunkws - Councillor/RD Chair - Warfield, RDKS

“He cares about community”

“Keith is a down to earth and really kind human. He is extremely knowledgeable on all aspects of government and how the processes work. He cares about community, housing and environmental issues. He strongly supports minorities and always speaks up for the underdog.

Having Keith in your corner is having someone who won’t give up, who will seek out answers, and who won’t just agree with the masses.

Driven, a life long learner and someone who truly listens. “

Heather Stack - Nelson Fire Rescue - Nelson

"Working with Councillor Page on Greater Nelson Economic Development has been a pleasure. He is passionate about his community, committed to delivering results, and brings creativity to a diverse range of projects. His dedication and hands-on approach make him a valuable partner in driving meaningful progress. Keith would be great for our region, as he understands the needs of rural communities and would bring the same level of action, commitment, and results to federal discussions."

Andrea Wilkey - Executive Director - Community Futures Central Kootenays

While we may have differing political views, I have always known Keith to be a dedicated and principled leader who is unafraid to speak out and stand up for his community. His commitment to representing others, engaging in meaningful dialogue, and working with people from all walks of life is exactly what is needed in this role. Keith has consistently shown a willingness to lead, listen, and collaborate—qualities that will serve his constituents well.”

“he takes the time to talk to the people in his communities face to face”

“I have had the opportunity to get to know Keith through local, municipal government, as well as a fellow business owner in Nelson.

I have been consistently impressed by Keith’s consistent and ongoing commitment to engage in core value concepts that are now crisis level concerns for many people in the Kootenays.  The lack of affordable housing, the complex consideration needed to understand the connections between housing and the challenges the vulnerable in our communities  with addiction face.  This, along with the pressing reality of the climate crisis necessitate bold and innovative planning and energy.   Both in writing and in person, he has always spoken to these complex issues with concrete ideas by proposing innovation and community focussed solutions.  I say this because he takes the time to talk to the people in his communities face to face.

In light of this, having never had Rob Morrison show up in my community of Nelson when challenged to address said concerns, I fail to see how a candidate who aligns with rhyming slogans and regressive ideology can possibly keep up with the challenges that we all face moving into the next era of federal politics.  With the theoretical threats of our resources being at risk to foreign powers now no longer being theoretical, the conservative voice simply is not the safe voice to put the Kootenays, British Columbia , and Canada first.  For these reasons I believe Mr. Page has the energy, vision, and current reality lens through which our region will best weather the coming storm that threatens our resources, social values, and sovereignty. “

Jennifer Beare - Kootenay Crate - Nelson

“deliver[s] workable solutions to complex problems”

“I've always known Keith Page to be a strong, progressive voice of reason. His exceptional ability to communicate issues clearly and objectively, always basing his arguments on the facts on the ground, sets him apart. Keith is open to listening to a diverse range of opinions, finding common ground where it can be found, and sifting through the cacophony of information that politicians are often presented with to deliver workable solutions to complex problems. His time in local and regional government, combined with his experience running a local small business and his proven commitment to the well-being of his community, makes him the best choice to win the riding for the NDP.”

Sean Ryan - Retired - Nelson

“Find[s] a balance between our stated ideals and the real-world steps needed to achieve them”

“In what seems to be an ever more polarized political landscape, Keith displays a strong commitment to hearing and understanding all aspects of the issues. He manages to maintain focus on an ideology that includes better environmental stewardship, equality of opportunity, and compassion for those in his community, while remaining rooted in the sometimes stark reality we live in on a daily basis. Finding a balance between our stated ideals and the real-world steps needed to achieve them is a skill that is often neglected in our society. I believe that given the chance, Keith will work hard to represent the unique position and needs of the Kootenay region. His ability to relate to constituents beyond the superficial level we see so often in government today is an asset worth sharing in Ottawa.“

Gerald Cordeiro - Forestry Worker - Tarrys (unincorporated)

Pete Fry - Councillor - City of Vancouver

“What has always struck me about Keith is how carefully he listens to people, how thoroughly he researches issues, and how much time he dedicates to serving the community to the best of his ability. I have every confidence that if Keith is at the table and part of the conversation, whatever the issue at hand will be better for it. I look forward to seeing him represent this riding in Ottawa!”

Abra Brynne - Kootenay Columbia Green-Party Candidate 2020 - Central Kootenays
